Lacy Santana is passionate about helping people regain the quality of life they deserve by listening to their concerns and getting to the root cause of the problem. Her love for holistic medicine lends itself to helping patients find natural alternatives to questionable medications, injections, and avoidable surgeries.

She doesn’t just treat a problem and then stop there. Lacy feels strongly about giving patients the education and tools they need to feel in control of their “embarrassing” symptoms. When our patients graduate, they will feel empowered to tackle any pelvic related problem and become confident about their general health and fitness.

Lacy’s passion for pelvic floor physical therapy was sparked by her own birth story. There was so much she wished she would’ve known before she went into labor for the first time. After speaking with so many mothers that were in her same situation, she felt called to make a meaningful change in the lives of others. With three kids of her own, Lacy understands pelvic floor issues on a very personal level, experiencing hip and lower back pain whenever her stress level is high. Because of this, she is passionate about exploring the impact emotional triggers can have on her patient’s symptoms. “You are so much more than your floor. There is a whole brain attached to that body of yours.”

Lacy lives in Covington and is married with three beautiful children. She had her first two kiddos while simultaneously earning her undergraduate degree in kinesiology from Southeastern and her third just a week before graduating with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from William Carey University. She was a physical therapy tech for four years before she embarked on PT school where she later went on to earn the 2021 Excellence in Research Award. Call it tenacity or stubbornness, either way, she is a go-getter.

Lacy's Fun Facts:
  • Lacy has three kids: a six-year-old daughter, a four-year-old son, and a one-year-old son…phew!
  • Her cat’s name is Bearsy, because of course it is.
  • As a former Starbucks barista, she makes the best coffee combo recommendations.
  • Lacy grew up on the water and loves to jet ski and wakeboard!
  • She missed the last day of her student rotation because she was in labor.
  • Lacy enjoys all things creative and she has an eye for design.
  • Her twerking skills put all of us to shame.
  • She loves boba tea!
  • She often has the office in stitches when finding TikTok or Instagram gold!
  • Lacy’s favorite thing about Louisiana is its rich culture, how important family is to everyone here, and of course, crawfish boils.

Meet Charlotte Garma

Picture
After listening to countless clients with persistent back or hip pain recount their stories of seeing many specialists, she made it her mission to inform them about the missing link that no other profession had considered… the pelvic floor! While approaching each person with a pelvic floor focus to therapy, she also understands the importance of a full-body approach. To that end, she works closely with each client to develop an individualized and holistic plan for care that focuses on helping patients achieve their specific goals, beyond just being symptom-free.  “We start with your pelvic floor, but we don’t end there!”

As a first-time mom, she was especially in tune with how often mother’s complaints of physical problems were dismissed throughout their pregnancy and post-partum journeys, and she knew that she could make a difference for them She believes that specially tailored treatment, education, and support  should be offered to prepare all moms so that they can achieve the birth they choose, not one that is chosen for them. For an ideal recovery, that same level of care should be provided post-partum so moms can live their best life and learn to love their new bodies.

Charlotte’s many years as a dancer, in particular her studies at Towson University’s Dance Program, have aided her understanding of the use of core and pelvic muscles in a real-life manner and inspired her approach. The intense dance training enhanced her awareness of proper alignment and function, which she integrates uniquely while guiding others toward optimal well-being.
Charlotte had a unique double major, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance and Choreography from Towson University. While in Baltimore, she worked at Johns Hopkins Rehabilitation Program for Performing Artists and assisted a member of the adjunct faculty with research on dance injuries. She then spent time in New York City as a personal trainer and yoga instructor before returning home to complete her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Louisiana State University in New Orleans.

When she is not treating patients she enjoys spending time with her family, boating on the river, and cajun dancing.

Charlotte's Fun Facts:
  • Charlotte has a 9-month-old daughter named Lily who’s a mini version of her father, Max.
  • She is a research machine! Anytime a question arises, she will be the one to find the answer.
  • The quintessential enneagram 2, Charlotte will move heaven and earth to help you.
  • One of her all-time favorite books is “Come As You Are” by Emily Nagoski. #teambrakes
  • Her office mates are jealous of how great her butt looks. :)
  • She loves Mexican and Greek food.
  • Her height may be 5’1” but her energy is over 8 feet tall.
  • Patients always comment on her Miraculous Medal necklace.
  • She’s an avid cajun dancer and loves going out on the boat in the swamp - a true Louisiana girl!

Meet Adair Hunt

Picture
As an athlete, coach, and therapist, Adair understands the importance of being able to do what you love, whether that be enjoying a vigorous game of tag with your family, holding with your grandchildren, or doing a high-intensity workout. Her focus is to help you get back to what you love and reach your full potential by making your body’s capacity big enough to handle whatever life throws at you.

Her approach involves breaking down the foundations of movement and cleaning up its patterns while providing clarity about the how and why. “It’s less about what workout or exercise you’re doing, but more importantly HOW you’re doing it.” She has a gift of being able to give you one specific cue that finally lets everything click in your brain AND body. She loves to find the holes in your movement patterns and fix them during your time together.
Adair Hunt specializes in using functional fitness techniques to get her patients back in control of their own lives without medications, high-risk surgeries, or simply learning to “live with it." There is a time and place for mat exercises, small pink weights, and little stretchy bands, but her favorite thing is having patients mimic real life activities like getting off the ground with your hands full, moving garden mulch, or practicing putting kids in the car with 100 bags on your arm. Moving like you do in daily life and under heavy load is the most transformative skill to take away from any therapy session you attend.

When she isn’t in the office getting patients back into top shape she can be found in the gym perfecting her own technique or hanging out with her fiance Stacy, dog daughter Dixie, or her “stepcat” Samson.
Beyond her numerous certifications, she has practiced her skills in various settings including outpatient orthopedics, home health PT, assisted living facilities, and outpatient pelvic health. Due to her wide range of experience, Adair is especially skilled at meeting each client where they are in their treatment journey, regardless of their fitness background, and helping them reach their health and wellness goals. “Everyone starts somewhere and I’m just proud you’re moving.”

Adair's Fun Facts:
  • As a true Louisiana native, Adair loves to go horseback riding and two-stepping when she has free time.
  • Adair’s favorite book is Medal of Honor. She’s in a book club, but never reads the books.
  • Fortune Feimster will make her laugh so hard that she can’t breathe.
  • Her TikTok algorithm  is full of home improvement and baby monkey videos.
  • Her favorite food is churros.
  • She has trained her hair to stay in the perfect position… even with hand stand push-ups.
  • Her Motto is: “You get out of it what you put into it.”
  • A normal bedtime is 7:30pm.
  • She attended Parkview Baptist School starting at 8 weeks old and started playing softball shortly thereafter. :)

Professional Highlights:
  • Power Running and Advanced Level Running Coach with Dr. Kasey Hill

  • Certified in Assessment and Treatment of the Fitness Athlete and Function Fitness
  • OPTIM Certified Advanced Orthopedic Manual Therapist

Picture
Amber Anderson loves to help people regain control of their bladder and bowels, enjoy their sex life again, and finally defeat pelvic pain without questionable medications, risky surgery, or just learning to "live with it."

As a classic overachiever and mother of 3, Amber understands pelvic floor and core problems on a personal level.

While working as a massage therapist in a pelvic rehab clinic, countless people told her of embarrassing conditions that were considered "normal," "part of life now," or fixable with "kegels." She heard saddening stories of adverse medication side effects, failed surgeries, and bouncing between medical providers without ever getting answers or relief.

This experience, combined with her personal struggle and love of awkward conversation topics, drove her to pursue a doctorate, residency training, and board certification in pelvic health physical therapy. Frustrated by lack of quality care and long term solutions, she opened Restoration Health Collective to help patients get their body back once and for all!

She understands how physically challenging, emotionally devastating, and socially isolating it can be to suffer in silence. Amber has figured out how to free people from the bondage of secret suffering with issues related to pee, poop, sex, prolapse, and pelvic pain when no other treatments help.

Personal Details:
When she's not in the office treating patients, reading scientific research, or teaching, she can be found chasing 3 kids, dancing with her husband, weightlifting, or sitting on a porch swing at False River.

Amber's Fun Facts:
  • She can peel a crawfish in 3 seconds flat.
  • Throughout the year, you can catch her dancing in parades with her daughter as part of the Baton Rouge BeignYays.
  • Her love language is a pumpkin spiced latte.
  • A patient once described her as a “Vagician.”
  • Her dream tattoo is a "Two Humped Camel" on her big toe, so she is never without a camel toe. :)
  • She met her husband while doing a swing dance called the Lindy Hop.
  • Dogs are named Roux and Phydeaux.
  • Favorite thing about social media is anything with the hashtag #southlouisianaproblems and news stories about people from Florida.

Professional Highlights:
  • Graduated with BA in Public Relations at LSU.
  • Earned a Doctoral degree at Elon University in North Carolina.
  • Completed a Pelvic Health Residency at Baylor's Institute of Rehabilitation and postdoctoral work at Texas Women's University in Dallas, TX.
