Rediscover Health & Wellness at Restoration Health Collective

Exciting things are happening over here at Restoration Health Collective! In the past three years our owner, Amber, has grown this practice from a one-woman business into a collective of like-minded healthcare professionals with the common goal of helping our patients to be the healthiest, happiest versions of themselves.

Even though a lot has changed, some things remain the same…like what symptoms we treat! If you suffer with issues related to your bladder control, bowel regularity, sex life, pelvic pressure, back/hip/pelvic pain, or weak core you’ve come to the right place. We can help! We still approach our patient care with the highest quality of service, responsiveness, and sense of humor.

Our Treatment Philosophy
Our holistic approach differs from others in our field as our therapists look at the patient as a whole person, not simply a culmination of their symptoms. We know that no 2 patients are alike, which is why we utilize a customized combination of treatments and techniques. Each experience in our office is tailor-made to get you exactly what you need to live your best life!

Over time, our goal has shifted from getting our patients symptom free as fast as possible and out the door. Now, we have upgraded our approach by getting to the root cause of the problem and surpassing their previous level of health in order to prevent their symptoms from ever coming back. We’ve added several new techniques to our treatment tool belt that lend themselves to this way of providing pelvic floor care. We now go beyond your pelvic floor and get you off the treatment table and into a gym setting so we can see how you move under load in your everyday life. You are so much more than your floor!

What We Have To Offer
Every service we offer lends itself to our two main goals: treating any “problems” a patient experiences AND THEN optimizing their mental and physical fitness so they can live an amazing life as they’re becoming symptom free.  The treatment techniques include, but are not limited to:

In addition to the techniques used to treat the problem and restore the body, we have also built a very robust Health and Wellness Program to help people reach specific goals. These programs include:

Know Better, Do Better
We always say, “know better, do better”, and we truly believe in that sentiment. The things that we did in the past helped a lot of people and as the research changes so do we! We are committed to offering the most evidence based, up-to-date, top-notch care, and we refuse to be ruled by “we’ve always done it this way.”  You can still expect the same stellar service, smiling faces, and laughter fueled visits, just with better services and skills that benefit you! We are thrilled to present these new offerings to the Baton Rouge community.

We’ve Got Big News! New Name, New Staff, Upgraded Holistic Care

BIG NEWS!
We have BIG NEWS to share with you! Amber Anderson, PT has officially grown and expanded into Restoration Health Collective. This name change coincides with a shift in our mission and treatment philosophy.

Why the Change?
During the pandemic, Amber came to the realization that she wasn’t truly helping people in the truest sense of the word. Sure, she was getting rid of her patients’ symptoms temporarily, but after a few years, those pesky symptoms would return and they needed to be treated again.

While thinking about what drew her into this field in the first place, she remembered that her highest calling was to help change people's lives! Ridding pelvic symptoms is the first step, but stopping there was doing her patients a huge disservice. After coming to this conclusion she revamped her mission and treatment approach to include, not just fixing patient problems, but also helping restore them to optimal health through lifelong, sustainable changes.

Improving the type and quality of care we provide, lead us to generate a 3-4 month waitlist, which isn’t fair to people who so desperately need help NOW! In order to give our patients the care they deserve in a reasonable amount of time, we had to expand our staff and services. Amber began to recruit the top therapists in our field to join her team. She found some of the best and brightest, not only in their excellent clinical skills, but also in terms of their likability, trustworthiness, and sense of humor. Each of our staff members excels in a different area which makes us a better, more rounded team!

Amber is still the medical director of the clinic, reviews our patient’s cases on a weekly basis, performs staff training, gives updates on the research, and occasionally joins in during patient visits, so you never have to worry about the quality of care we provide! Thankfully, the blossoming of her clinic allowed her to expand into areas such as:
  • lecturing to physical therapy and medical students,
  • joining the faculty of several academic institutions in the Gulf South,
  • teaching at professional conferences nationwide, and
  • consulting with other people starting a specialty practice.
By shifting the focus to growing the business and training other medical providers and students, the number of people impacted has grown exponentially. The goal is to make a change in the medical system as a whole, as well as, with our individual patients!

We are excited about how far we have come and how much growth we still get to do! We are proud of our specialized team of healthcare providers that share the vision of impacting the greatest number of people to defeat their “embarrassing symptoms” and change their life in the process! Welcome to Restoration Health Collective.

What's in a Name?
Our name is very important to us as it embodies who we are and what we stand for…so let’s break it down. We decided getting our patients symptom-free wasn’t the end goal anymore, it was to truly restore their bodies from bottom to top. Looking beyond our patients' pelvic floor symptoms, we can understand them from a much more holistic standpoint by finding the key to what started their problem in the first place! This enables us to better understand their problems not only from a medical standpoint, but also from an emotional one, and work with the patient toward total restoration.

Health is the top priority, and that goes well beyond being symptom-free. We never want to return your body to the point that made you sick in the first place! We want to help yo
u do something bigger and better! We want you to move past “sickcare” and ultimately into true “healthcare.” This is why we work so hard to ensure the entire body is healthy, not just the pelvic floor.

We’ve all heard the saying “the whole is greater than the sum of its parts” and we stand by that. Functioning as a collective of healthcare professionals, we are now able to learn from one another each and every day. In addition to constant learning and growth, we are able to pair our patients with a provider that is THE BEST FIT for them instead of a “one size fits all” approach resulting in a perfectly tailored treatment plan and more happy, healthy patients.

How Does This Affect You?

What does all this information mean for you? It means that you’ll be receiving better, more well-rounded care than ever before. Since coming together as a collective, our skill set has expanded exponentially. These skills allow us to see our patients as more than a diagnosis and now as a whole person made up of complex systems.

Beyond the expansion in our skills, the way we offer care has also changed. We understand that restoring your health to its optimal condition is a significant commitment, both in terms of time and finances. After hearing your concerns, we have made some meaningful changes! In order to offset some of that burden and recognize your commitment to bettering yourself, we have begun to offer several improvements such as:
